Dr. Calimag is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery; Professional Lecturer for the MPHEd and MHA Programs at the Graduate School; Senior Associate Researcher at the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, and the Research Center for the Health Sciences all at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines
Dr. Cabauatan is currently connected with the College of Commerce and Business Administration in the University of Santo Tomas. He finished his MA Economics in UST in 2005 and BS Economics in PUP in 2001. He completed his PhD in Economics in the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School. He is currently connected with the Research Center for Culture, Education and Social Issues as an Associate Researcher from June 2011 to present. He served as an Industry Roadmap consultant for the Department of Trade and Industry – Board of Investment from April 2012 to December 2012.
Dr Lucero-Prisno is the Country Director of ACCESS Health International. He is also an Associate Professor of Public Health at the Department of Public Health of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). Before joining XJTLU, he was with the Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme of the Department of Public Health and Policy of the University of Liverpool (UoL) in the UK since 2009 where he remains as Honorary Lecturer of Public Health until the present. He is also affiliated with the Faculty of Management and Development Studies of the University of the Philippines (Open University) as Senior Lecturer in International Health, a Research Fellow of Medical Research in International Health of the Centre for International Health of the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, Germany and a Research Associate Fellow of Cardiff University in Wales.
He is an assistant professor of Anthropology at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. He finished a bachelor’s degree in fine arts major in studio arts painting cum laude at the College of Fine Arts and holds a masters degree in Anthropology at the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, both received from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. His research interests are in the areas of Internet or Smartphone-Mediated Communication, Visual, Socio-Cultural and Biological Anthropology.
Dr Estacio is an anthropologist, social development and public health expert, a professor at the Department of Behavioral Sciences and currently the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines- Manila. He completed his PhD in anthropology and master in community development degrees at UP Diliman and his master in public health degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and did post-doctoral research on drug abuse at University of Washington in Seattle. He trained in drug abuse research at Johns Hopkins University as a Hubert Humphrey Fellow and was a visiting scientist at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, University of Washington in Seattle.
She is a an Associate Researcher of the Social Health Studies Research-interest-group of the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, University of Santo Tomas (RCSSED-UST). She is a certified medication adherence specialist and an adviser of undergraduate researchers in Social Pharmacy practices. Her research interests are on social health, community-based pharmaceutical behaviors and health indigenous practices.
As a life-long learner, she finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Masters degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of the Philippines, College of Allied Medical Professions, and second Master of Science degree in OT from UST, magna cum laude. As an administrator, she served several functions including College Secretary in the College of Rehabilitation Science in UST from 2011-2012 and 2015-2016, Occupational Therapy Department Chair from 2012-2015 and as the internship supervisor in the Department from 2016-2017.
He is the general manager and co-founder of Curiosity, a design research consultancy that provides local insight through ethnographic approaches to help organizations design new products and services. In the past 6 years, Birdie has been involved in over 100 research projects for companies like Ayala Healthcare Corporation, Globe Telecom, Sun Life Financial, The Fred Hollows Foundation, and the National Anti-Poverty Commission. Prior to starting Curiosity, Birdie was a user researcher at the industrial design start-up Inovent, and a brand manager in L’Oreal Philippines.
Dr. Alejandria is an anthropologist working on issues on social health specifically the social construction of vulnerabilities to diseases. She is the Lead Research Associate of the Social Health Studies unit of the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education of the University of Santo Tomas where she is also an Assistant Professor for Sociology and Anthropology. She serves as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Social Health. She has also been involved in research projects funded by UNDP, UNAIDS, Conservation International, the Philippines’ Department of Science and Technology, and Brown International Advanced Research Institute.
He is the assistant research coordinator and a volunteer therapist of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Graduate School Psychotrauma Clinic. His research focus is on assessment and instrument development and on the role of psychotrauma in drug abuse cases. He is a practicing registered psychologist and blends his background in education and healthcare with his practice.
Dr Navidad is a Thomasian educator of the Department of Medical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy and an Associate Researcher of Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, University of Santo Tomas (RCSSED-UST). She is a medical technologist and a nurse by profession. She is presently the chairman of the ethics review committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy and a research statistician. Her research papers on mathematics innovation, educational management, autism behavior modification, nursing interventions, social health studies, and natural sciences studies have been presented locally and internationally, wherein some of these researches were awarded as winner/best in research, likewise published in international journals.
He is a faculty member of University of Santo Tomas (UST) Faculty of Pharmacy and resident researcher of the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education in Manila, Philippines. His research interests are social health studies, health-seeking behavior, community action research, practice of pharmacy, pharmacologic assay, pharmaceutical and environmental toxicology and cosmetic regulation/formulation. He finished his Master of Science degree in Pharmacy at the UST Graduate School, Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (CPS), Advanced Practice Experience Pharmacy Supervisor (APEPS) for both undergraduate and graduate students and Medication Adherence Pharmacist certified by the Management and Science University (MSU), Selangor, Malaysia.
Dr Salonga is an expert on Pharmaceutical Science. He graduated from Meijo University (Japan) with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science in 2014 and an MS in Pharmaceutical Science in 2011. He obtained his BS in Pharmacy in 2003 from the University of Santo Tomas Manila. Currently, Dr. Salonga serves as a research staff at the Graduate School of Pharmacy of the Meijo University.
